Why I Include A Professional Summary On My Resume

There are so many options for people who intend to work from home. These days, you can do anything from selling health products to creating websites to writing articles. In a service-based industry, specifically, it is important to have a resume on hand to send to potential clients.Resumes are often one page, and should effectively portray your work and personality. Most employers or contractors only look at a resume for a few seconds before they make any objective decisions about whether the person inquiring about a position qualifies.</p>< p class="p1">Yikes! Just a few seconds?</p>< p class="p1">That's right.</p>< p class="p1">So what are the important things you need to focus on in the resume?</p>< p class="p1">Feel free to use this as a checklist if you are not sure.</p>< ul> <li class="p1">Name</li> <li class="p1">Phone Number</li> <li class="p1">Email</li> <li class="p1">Address (or at least city, state, and zip!)</li> <li class="p1">Objective statement</li> <li class="p1">Work experience with skills intertwined</li> <li class="p1">Achievements</li> <li class="p1">Education</li>< /ul> One thing that has always helped me in the job search is including a professional summary. This helps include keywords that the employer may be looking for and can give a better idea of what your expertise is in if you don't have a lot of experience yet. There are some huge advantages in a professional summary. For instance, it may narrow done what defines your work, style and products as a business owner. It usually takes up more space on the resume, too, so if you don't have a lot of relevant work experience, that is the first thing an employer will look at. This format has worked well for me:
Market Penetration and Development:Deep understanding of current marketing trends, market segmentation, and market expansion.
• Brand Leadership:</b> Energetic, innovative and persuasive with great networking skills to establish leading role in the marketplace.
• Product Positioning:</b> Excellent consultative selling skills and product representation.
• Online Marketing -</b> Social Media Management, Online Branding, Digital Marketing, Online Advertising, Lead Generation
• Marketing Strategy _Competitive Analysis, Market Research, Business Development
• Product Marketing_ Innovative Thinking, Marketing Management, Value-Based Positioning
