The truth is, a person can have a fantastic platform, great marketing, and an enviable network, but if they drop off the face of the planet, the strategy does nothing for them. Eventually, sales will decline or plateau, and no one will remember them until they make their next big debut. How can you prevent that?
Expanding Your Fan Base After a while, if you keep the same fans, your market is going to plateau. There will be nowhere to go once everyone has already purchased your products. This constitutes a few things. For one, you must create another product and even another--or at least expand on the ones you have in place. Keep your platform building and your portfolio growing. If your loyal fan base enjoys your work, they will be more inclined to try a second product. Furthermore, they will be more inclined to recommend it to their own networks. That is why it is important to maintain your strategy. After getting all of the marketing strategy completed, put it together in a format of your choice. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or even a notebook if you want to do it old-school are great choices. After carefully assessing your target market, you can direct relationship building and advertising their direction by undergoing techniques that relate to them and make them want to buy. Keep in mind that product recommendations are huge. Word of mouth is the strongest form of advertising out there, so keep your platform positive. People may come back twice for the same book if they enjoy it. After all, they have friends and family. To keep customers coming back, invoke social proof. That means, if they come across your website or social media page, thank you for being one of x number of subscribers to join. That shows that you are legitimate in the business and will do business professionally. Not to mention, people love to be complemented and reassured of their decisions. Not every decision deals with buying. When you are a business owner, people will look at your photo, social media banners, content, and activity to be sure that you know what you are doing. Show them that you do. We are, after all, in the business of changing lives. That means that you need to listen to the customer. If certain social media platforms become less popular with your target audience over time, revise your strategy to the ones that are keeping people coming in. A huge aspect of maintaining any marketing strategy is revising it when customers demand. The market does change, so you just need to be ready. If you are already tracking patterns and sales with statistical graphs and are tuned into your market, this will come off as no surprise, and you will be ready when it happens. Make sure you continue to go to events, no matter how seasoned your products may appear to you. The deeper you are in the business, the more well known you will be. Take every chance to get your name out there. Most importantly, have fun.
Tips for SuccessUse positive language. Avoid negative words. Period. Offer freebies to your loyal customers. Offer free promotions to your new customers. Thank new subscribers when they join on to your adventure. Keep your platform strong.
